What : Stewards of Children is an evidence-based workshop created by Darkness to Light that teaches adults to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.
- A 2.5 to 3 hour training that utilizes video, workbook, and group discussion to teach adults 7 steps to protecting our children™.
- A program that integrates simple principles to promote an understanding of the nature and impact of child sexual abuse and provides powerful, specific support for empowered action and personal change.
- Motivational and compelling. It calls participants into personal responsibility for the safety of children, and at the same time appreciates their fears and concerns.
- A comprehensive program that incorporates all of the fundamental mechanics necessary in creating organizational policies and procedures that keep children safe.
Critical for: adults who work and/or volunteer with children; parents, grandparents and other caregivers and concerned community members dedicated to helping children grow up safe, healthy and whole.
